Week-1: Read Chapters 1-2; complete each chapter’s Activities, Review sections, and learn key vocabulary words. The students will learn self-awareness of their positive and negative thoughts, feelings, actions, and what success means to them. Activities include students creating a personal journal, personality self-portrait, self-awareness checklist, and skills assessment. The students will also write a story about principles of success to practice what they learned.​

Week-2: Read Chapters 3-4; complete each chapter’s Activities, the Review sections, and learn key vocabulary words. The students will learn how to anticipate and manage obstacles and stress, generate short and long-term goals, as well as increase self-esteem. Activities include emotional intelligent test, stress management techniques, accomplishment inventory, and create goal timeline to achieve their objectives.

Chapter 4: SELF-ESTEEM

Week-3: Read Chapters 5-6; complete each chapter’s Activities, Review sections, and learn key vocabulary words. Students will learn the power of a positive attitude, skills to banish worries, self-defeating thoughts, and discipline your thinking. Activities include journal for habit change, making positive changes, overcoming resistance to change, using decision-making process and personal journey pros and cons.

Week-4: Read Chapters 7 and 9; complete each chapter’s Activities, Review sections, and learn key vocabulary words. Students will learn what motivates them, how to recharge motivation, and expand their comfort zone. Students will also analyze and improve their communication skills, understand diversity, and deal with conflict. Activities include confronting fear of success, visualizing success, body-language log, giving feedback techniques, as well as write essay how they can improve their communication and share with online class.

Week-5: Read Chapter 8; complete chapter’s Activities, Review section, Professional Development sections, and learn key vocabulary words. Students will learn how to manage time, money and resources. Students will also be assigned to review professional development sections from course book and given handouts for online career/work discussion, preparation, and discussion during last day of class. Activities include time management survey, prioritizing time worksheet, and online class role-playing of different scenarios how to manage time/money/resources. Students will also participate with online class interaction on many career/work guidelines.
