The program is designed to teach the students all aspects of supporting a medical office in providing patient care, performing clinical procedures of the medical back office focusing on medical terminologies, patient assessment, examination, diagnosis and treatment, clinical assisting, routine laboratory procedures and patient care. Students will gain the knowledge and skills they need to confidently pursue their career goals for gainful employment. The program teaches students medical terminologies, anatomy and physiology, electronic medical records, medical laws and ethics, effective communication and patient education, basic computer, pharmacology and how to perform clinical and laboratory procedures.
